Mindful Awareness in Body Orientation Therapy (MABT)
Mindful Awareness in Body-Oriented Therapy was developed as a research protocol by Cynthia Price, PhD, based on 20 years of clinical practice as a body-oriented therapist.
MABT combines touch-based and mind-body approaches to teach body awareness and self-care skills.
MABT is designed to facilitate embodiment, to promote healthy behaviors and self-care and to increase emotion regulation.
Carla has worked with Dr. Cynthia Price in multiple research studies using MABT approaches for women in treatment for substance use, and most recently in a several year study treating individuals in recovery from opioid use.
